Afghanistan’s number #1 singing competition show, AFGHAN STAR, returns for it’s 10th season, the biggest, best season yet! This season’s premiere episode features preliminary auditions in Kabul, as hundreds of hopefuls from all the world show up eager for a chance to impress the judges and get a card that advances them to the qualification rounds.


Roya, a young fan of new judge Shahla Zaland, tries her best to impress Shala with a rendition of “Sultan Qalbam” a song by the legendary Ahmad Zahir. Khalid takes a risk and travels all the way from Canada for a chance to audition for the show and a cheeky young man decides to haggle hard with the judges for a card BEFORE he even sings!


Will Roya be able to impress Shahla? Does Khalid’s long journey pay off with a card or will he head back to Canada in defeat? And is our merchant turned singer able to strike a deal with the judges for a card without even singing a word?
